Norovirus is circulating in the local community!

If you have symptoms of Norovirus (diarrhoea and/or vomiting) you are urged not to attend walk-in centre, your GP or the hospital, but to remain at home until you have been clear of symptoms for 48 hours. Please call NHS 111 if you need assistance.

The Future of Your Community NHS Services... what you said

Page 2

Community nursing, physiotherapy, stop smoking, GP out of hours and walk-in-centres … just some of the many services we provide in people’s homes, health centres and community bases across Wirral and Neston.

We plan to become a Community Foundation Trust (CFT).  This means we will remain an NHS organisation providing NHS services but with more freedom to plan, deliver and invest in the services we provide. Local people will have more of a say too.

We held a public consultation from February 27 to May 21 2012 about our plans and our new membership scheme.

Over 700 people responded - this is what they said:

90% agreed with our vision and values

84% agreed with our suggested name – Wirral Community NHS Foundation Trust

69% agreed with our minimum age for membership as 13

89% agreed permanent staff should automatically become members

89% agreed anyone in Wirral and Neston can join

88% agreed with our planned membership constituencies – Birkenhead, Wallasey, Wirral South & Neston, Wirral West

82% agreed staff should be a single constituency

86% agreed with Governors’ 2 or 3 year election periods, elected by ‘first past the post’

69% agreed with 16 as our minimum age to be a Governor

85% agreed with the make up of our Council of Governors

84% agreed with our choice of appointed Governors

87% agreed with the makeup of our Board of Directors
