Norovirus is circulating in the local community!

If you have symptoms of Norovirus (diarrhoea and/or vomiting) you are urged not to attend walk-in centre, your GP or the hospital, but to remain at home until you have been clear of symptoms for 48 hours. Please call NHS 111 if you need assistance.

Go smokefree for a healthy 2014

January is a time when many people commit to New Year's resolutions to improve an aspect of their health and wellbeing and we are supporting the new Smokefree Health Harms campaign. We are urging smokers who are considering quitting in January to take advantage of our free one to one and group support to improve their health and save money.

If you are ready to quit, our Livewell team will offer you motivational advice and practical support, providing:

  • one to one or group support in a number of local venues
  • daytime and evening support sessions
  • nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) via voucher scheme*
  • support at workplaces
    *Prescription charges may apply

Quitting smoking can be tough, but did you know you're up to four times more likely to quit with specialist help and support.

Call 0151 630 8383 for help and support to quit smoking or to find out how the Livewell          Team can help you live a healthier 2014.
