Norovirus is circulating in the local community!

If you have symptoms of Norovirus (diarrhoea and/or vomiting) you are urged not to attend walk-in centre, your GP or the hospital, but to remain at home until you have been clear of symptoms for 48 hours. Please call NHS 111 if you need assistance.

Environmental accreditation for St Cath’s Health Centre

We're celebrating after being awarded the international environmental accreditation for St Cath’s Health Centre.

Following a rigorous assessment, we're one of a few Community Health trust’s in the country to have a building accredited as being environmentally friendly with an esteemed ISO 14001-2015 Certificate.

To achieve accreditation, we had to demonstrate that we had undertaken a thorough review of the impact St Catherine’s Health Centre has on the environment and evidence that positive changes had been made to reduce it.

Deputy Chief Executive Mark Greatrex said:

“We already recycled much of our waste, but we wanted to do more. Over the last 12 months we have installed more energy efficient lighting and run energy switch-off campaigns to ensure staff are turning off computers and lights when they’re not needed.

We’re proud to have increased the amount of cardboard, ink cartridges, plastics and batteries we recycle, and to have encouraged more staff to cycle to work or use public transport.”
