Sexual Health Wirral launch new website

The team at Sexual Health Wirral has launched a new interactive website -

The website is full of information about looking after your sexual health, how to prevent sexually transmitted infections, how to access local help and support and encouraging a healthy, happy and safe sex-life.

There are also features about lifestyle and contraceptive choices, details of the partner organisations the team work with, and a section dedicated to healthcare professionals. The website is mobile friendly giving people the option to look up information discreetly on their phone or tablet device whilst on the move.

Judy Fairbairn, Sexual Health Co-ordinator said: "Our website is one of our main information hubs for patients and members of the public. It's important that people can access a range of information about their sexual health and lifestyle as well as being aware of the help and support available to them. Patients and members of the public now have instant access to a range of informative videos and can book an appointment online for certain procedures.

We have also developed a section dedicated to healthcare professionals which enables patient referrals to our specialist clinics to be submitted instantly.

We will continue to work with our patients, partners and members of the public to further develop our website throughout the year."

The website also enables people to request a free postal testing kit for chlamydia, the most common STI that often has no symptoms. Giving you the option to request a free chlamydia testing kit online means you can do the test from the comfort of your own home, privately and discreetly. Requesting a test kit is simple. All you need to do is visit and request your free kit today. It will be sent in plain packaging to a delivery address of your choice. You will also receive easy to follow step-by-step instructions and a freepost envelope to return your sample. It couldn't be easier!

The test kits are available to anybody living in Wirral aged 16+ and your results can be text to you 7-10 days later. It's that simple. Our Sexual Health Wirral Service is a confidential service and your results will not be shared with anybody other than you.
