**Visit a Walk-in Centre for your minor injury or illness**

If you have a minor injury or illness, you can be seen quicker at a Walk-in Centre than at A&E.

Walk-in Centres provide assessment, treatment and advice for minor injuries and illnesses including: infections and rashes, bruises, burns and strains, coughs, colds and flu, earache,
minor cuts and wounds, stomach ache, indigestion, constipation, vomiting and diarrhoea.

If you have a muscle / joint injury, need stitches or an X-ray, visit Victoria Central Walk-in Centre and the Minor Injuries Unit.

National Industrial Action – Monday 13 October

Unions have announced a four hour strike across the NHS in response to the Government's decision on the 2014/15 pay award. The strike will take place on Monday 13 October, 7.00am-11.00am, followed by further days of 'working to rule' dependant on each union.

Wirral Community NHS Trust has prepared well to maintain our duty of care to our patients and services users and to ensure our emergency care will not be compromised. However, there may be some disruption due to a reduced workforce and we will do our best to ensure we meet the needs of our patients within the community.

Unless we contact you, please turn up for your appointment as normal.

We will provide further updates as necessary via our website and social media (twitter @wirralct)

North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) has confirmed that only a very limited 999 service will operate for the strike period (7.00am-11.00am). Visit the NWAS website for latest updates.
