Early Years Training Workshops - Livewell Programme

Early Years Training Workshops - Livewell Programme

Do you work in Wirral with children aged 0-4 years? Wirral Community NHS Trust's Livewell team is providing FREE training workshops on a range of topics, which could help you achieve Early Years Foundation Curriculum.

All of our workshops are facilitated by qualified NHS Public Health practitioners. The workshops will cover:

  • breastfeeding
  • child safety
  • food and nutrition
  • oral health
  • physical activity
  • weaning, allergies and intolerances

Our first workshop, Food and Nutrition, will take place on Thursday 11 September 2014, 9.30am - 12.30pm at Civic Medical Centre, Bebington. It will support you and your team to promote healthy eating within your organisation, help staff have a positive influence on the nutrition of the children in your care, be aware of a range of activities and resources to promote healthy eating, and help you understand how to involve parents and carers.

Healthy Settings Programme Manager, Trish Barnes said: "Our new programme is packed with the latest information. It provides an excellent opportunity for people working with young children to develop skills / knowledge on health and wellbeing.

"Practitioners play a key role in young children's lives and by attending these workshops they will have the most up to date information, be able to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, and develop support networks".
